Last Monday, I was too pre-occupied with school, too immersed in academics and too worn out with JC life that I didn't realize that June Holidays was nearing. Even after knowing, even today, it doesn't feel like a holiday at all. Am I being lifeless and too goal-oriented or what? I hope that the holiday mood will sink into me soon.

This holiday, I plan to eat less tidbits and snacks. I want to lose weight. I have to run soon. Like next week. Or this Sunday. I hope God gives me some motivation for this. To add on, I have PW research to do which will sap away almost half of my free time.

Seriously, the only thing I like in JC is my CCA, my friends and my favourite subjects. Other than that, it has been plain, dull and boring. 5 months have breezed by ever since we have gotten our O level results. O levels was, not to be arrogant, rather insignificant I realize. The number of A1s you have don't matter much. Its the points you get that matters. And I realize that in JC, with all the tough papers that they are gonna poison you with during common test, I shall not aim or hope for outstanding results. I just want to get promoted. And then do well for A levels.

Now my main concern is my Project Work and Malay Dance. I have been appointed as Student Leader and now I have to lead the group in terms of dance. I hope I'll do a good job. Also, I hope I meet the criteria for H3 Physics during the Promotional Exams. I need to balance.

Well, it all boils down to this.. Happy Holiday everyone =)

I realised that me and my friends have been going out a lot these few weeks. For example, last Friday, Mikhail and gang, the girls and me went out for dinner at Al-Azhar restaurant opposite to Bukit Timah shopping centre for dinner - all thanks to the cancelling of training on that day. =) It was retarded. At first Ashraff started arguing with Mikhail for being late. They were shouting across the table Aand everyone was staring at us. One couple even requested for changing seat as we were(or Ashraff was) too noisy. LMAO. Then the stupid cup of fruit juice decided to spill on its own and Ashraff started screaming like some dodobird, as usual. The food was great but sadly the price burnt a hole in my pocket. 12 bucks for a dinner- nice one la.

Today, me, Ashraff and ZH went to macs for lunch right after Student Council elections to slack. We were playing with our handphones and really causing a lot of disturbance to out poor neighbor who was studying his uni. stuff beside us. We were laughing and talking crap like no one's business - a perfect way to escape from daily stress. We also took stupid videos of ourselves laughing like a retards, one of which Ashraff's handphone got thrown away from his hand when it was recording a video. LOL. HAH. Tmr I have Maths lecture test. I have no mood to study. I just read thru all the formulas. Hope the test won't be so hard =)

I failed my physics Dynamics quiz and i think i have to go for the consolidation lecture.. ZZZZ What an embarrassment for a person who is interested in Physics. Sometimes I wonder, whats the point of being passionate about something when you are not even good at it?

I just got the latest Pokemon version , Heartgold. Undoubtedly awesome and of exceptional quality. Brings me memories of the times when I played the first Pokemon version in my life, Gold. This time, its in 3D, better graphics, more functions/apps, additional characters and pokemon, maps and enhanced storyline. The Pokemon versions never fail to impress. I'm looking forward to capture all the legendaries in the game and exploring Kanto. Latest news : Nintendo 3DS has been announced to be released soon. I really wonder how it will be like. I may consider purchasing it too=)

Next up, A level H1 Project Work task notes has been released. This time the themes are 'amalgamation' and 'alternatives'. I'll most likely be doing the 1st one since it seems easier. I'll do the 2nd one if it seems more feasible. I really hope that the PW journey will be a smooth one no matter how challenging it might be.

I just watched the movie, 'When in Rome' earlier on at around 7pm. It was really awesome and I highly recommend everyone to watch it. Its a comedy cum romance based movie. Touching yet hilarious. xD Watch it to find out more.

Happy holidays ppl. Time to train for napfa and mug everything that they have taught us. Some of my time will be used up for Malay Dance camp. Can't wait for it. Hope its gonna rock. I'm currently enjoying the learning process. Except when you screw up class quizzes. Haiz i failed my practical becos i forgot my SPA stuff and got 6/10 for physics quiz. I got 2 marks deducted for not showing working for SI units of electric and magnetic field strength -.- What nonsense. Argh. I want my chem and vectors test as soon as sch starts next term. Can't believe I fumbled in chem test. Too much pressure i guess.. And yes. Porject Work will start soon and we have to submit our Prelim. Idea paper too around next term. I wanna get it done and over with. But I hope the process of group work will be enjoyable.

Sian. Just 1 PT session in Malay Dance and I have aches everywhere. And the PT wasn't that hard anyway I still don't get why I can get muscles aches. Dam irritating. Hope they will ease by next week. This week will be the final week of pure lectures. After this we'll be assigned to tutorial classes. Feeling dam sad. We'll all have to split up next week. I hope I'll end up in the same class with someone i know. Sometimes having strangers around you feels dam weird and awkward. Nevertheless, school has been quite fun and slack so far. I love lectures=)

Malay Dance is quite fun too. But tomorrow will be the 1st flexibility training we all have to undergo and we are already struggling with the 'easy'(this is an understatement) flexibility exercises that we all do as warm-up before training. T.T Hope it won't be that bad.

I can't believe maths isn't as complicated as i thought. Especially Binomial Theorem which was a very short chapter. The challenging questions and tutorial questions are quite hard though. No wonder they said NJC gives the hardest maths papers in town. Good luck to all then. Physics isn't much of a struggle yet since i read like 2/3 of the entire syllabus alrdy. xD Chemistry is still okay. Econs is so fun omg. I can't believe I enjoy studying a social science/humanities.

I'm picking up a new sport now: Badminton. I bought my badminton net already yea. Playing with my lil sis whenever we can. I don't wanna stone in front of the comp all day playing DotA during my free time and gain weight. Must get fitter. Too bad my sis is not really a gd opponent. It'll do for now. I'll get Lingges to play with me when he can.

In a nutshell, JC life isn't that hard after all. But maybe its too early to say now. But still, I enjoy everything that I study. Hopefully after the 2 yrs here I can leave this JC with a good grade. Good enough to enter NUS and do physics and applied maths. I better be able to enter NUS or I'll get pissed. I can't believe my journey as a student is at its halfway mark. Its so fast. Soon I'll be 20. Hopefully I'll be taller by then. Better be. Or else. -.-"

NJC Oreintation 2010 ended with a big BOOMZ. The OGL performances were awesome and I think the best performance was from Lignum house. Proness man. Uber nice. After the OGLs' performance was the mass dance with Rihanna's song Shut Up and Drive. I luv it!! Not to mention the next song Summer Nights from the movie Grease. It was fun too but 2 bad i forgot the dance steps =X. Following that was the dance party, which turned the NJC hall into some disco pub. It was crazy. The DJ blasted the music, everyone was dancing randomly in the darkness of the hall. We were all sweating like mad, since the air-con was not functioning. Oh well, we lost lots of calories on that night. THANk YOU SO MUCH STUDENT COUNCIL, OGLs and other NJC staff which made that night possible! It was unforgettable.

Lectures started the day after the Orientation Finale. The 1st day of lectures were generally boring even though the Econs lecture was interesting to me. At least we'll get to slack during this period while waiting for our proper timetable to come up. I can't wait for more tutorials and lectures! I'm quite scared for Project Work though..

Does religion contradict science? I don't think so.

Time and again the same arguement arises between me and my friend, religion and science cannot co-exist peacefully. The 21st century, he claimed, should be an age of reason and religion should be forgotten by mankind. He claimed God is just an entity that humans created. Well thanks to an awesome website, I have evidence to show that science and religion do not contradict each other. In fact, my evidence shows that God does exist. All based on the Quran.

Proof #1.
"He rules the cosmic affair from the heavens to the earth. The affair travels to him a distance in one day, 1000 years of what you count." - the Quran.

Muslims believe that angels are servants of God and therefore, sends this 'cosmic affair' to God as part of their service to him. Prophet Muhammad stated that 'the angels were made out of light'. Thus, the cosmic affair travels at the speed of light. In order to test out whether this claim is true, we have to calculate the speed at which the cosmic affair travels.

Speed of cosmic affair = distance of 1000yrs of what you count / 1 earth day.

Arabs use the lunar calendar and hence 1000 yrs of what you count can be inferred as the dist. that the moon travelled in 1000 lunar years.

And indeed, with very complex and in depth calculation, this cosmic affair travels almost at the speed of light.

The speed of light is not a nice whole number. The standard speed of light is 299 792 458 m/s. the Quran managed to redefine the speed of light in simpler terms: (distance travelled by the moon in 12000 lunar months)/1 earth day.

Atheist's point of view: Muhammad made up the entire Quran with his close friends.

Fact:Prophet Muhammad is illiterate. Absolutely no one at the age at which Prophet Muhammad lives could figure out the speed of light and redefine it in simpler terms.

Conclusion: He was truly the messenger of god.

Proof #2
" The angels ascend to him in a day, a measure of which is a thousand years".-The Quran

Since angels are made up of light, it is logical to think that they can travel at speeds from 0m/s up to the speed of light. If this is the case, then time dilation must occur if the angel travels at high speeds. Indeed, the Quran states that 1 day relative to the angel is equivalent to 50 000 years measured by a stationary observer(in this case humans).

Atheist's point of view: Angels don't exist and this is all bullshit.

Fact: Travelling at relativistic speeds results in time dilation. How the heck could people who lived Muhammad's time figure out that angels travel at enormous speeds and that time passes slowly for fast moving objects?

Conclusion: No one could have made this up. This cannot be a coincidence. The quran is God's work.

Proof #3
"And the heaven and the knocker. How could you know about the knocker? The piercing star"-The Quran

Based on this quote,

Based on modern science,

Neutron stars are remnants of exploded stars. They emit radio waves. Pulsars can be detected and heard by connecting a radio telscope to a loud speaker and they sound exactly like someone 'knocking' persistently. Neutron stars may eventually form black holes as its mass increases. Black holes is a region in spacetime where the gravitational pull is so intense that not even light can escape it. It is like a deep puncture in spacetime.

Thus, based on modern science,

Neutrons stars(emits radio waves) => Pierces spacetime.

Comparing it with the Quran's quote,

Neutron stars = Knockers

Atheist's point of view : This is all made up and cannot be believed.

Fact: Neutron stars emit radio waves, which causes knocking sounds when detected. Neutron stars also create deep punctures in the fabric of spacetime. Nobody in Muhammad's time would have known that neutron stars will cause deep punctures in spacetime.

Conclusion: God uses the Quran to tell us about this piercing star. This piercing star has been discovered by modern science and is now named a neutron star.

In this quote Allah claims that in his heavens, there are certain 'creations' that cannot be seen by humans. Today, it is discovered that indeed there are creations that cannot be detected by light: Dark Matter. Dark Matter cannot be seen directly but can be detected by gravitational lensing. Dark Matter warps spacetime just matter. Warps and curves in spacetime cause light to bend. In this quote Allah, for a reason, told us to "redirect our sight", implying that our sight is bent. Light is bent.

Atheist's point of view: There is no God and this is pure nonsense. The inference is merely coincidental with the findings in astrophysics.

Fact: There is a type of matter that cannot be detected by electromagnetic radiation, dark matter. Dark matter bends light.

Conclusion: God is telling us about dark matter and tells us to redirect our sight when we detect them because our sight has been bent.

Proof #5

During Prophet Muhammad's time, Iron was not the best choice of material for weapons as it can easily rust and bent. So why did the quran say that iron had great strength? Reality check : Approx. 21 days to O level results. Holidays are going to end real soon, its back to work guys. Well, I'm currently feeling quite worried about my results and I've been looking back about how I did for each paper. Most of the time, I've been very pessimistic and well, I keep thinking that I didnt do well for the humanities. Maybe we should just leave that to fate. At the same time, I really can't wait for the results to be released and meet my friends in January. I WANT RESULTS!!

I went to watch the movie 'Bodygaurds and Assassins' a few days ago with my classmates it was epic and I found it really interesting. On the same day, we were discussing about our goals for the future, specifically, which course we are taking in university if we manage to enter it. For me, I am a hundred percent sure that Physics is my cup of tea. The problem is: What do I work as after getting that degree? I want to do something more interesting than teaching. Probably do research in the field of Physics. When I scanned the ASTAR website for jobs related to Physics, most of them needed a degree in Material Sciences which I am not sure whether I should pursue or not. God pls help me. Seriously have no idea what to work as in future. Any suggestions?

Returned from Sabah

My trip to Sabah just ended. 4 wonderful days breezed by so quickly. Now back to the everyday routine of waking up, eat, pray, play & sleep. Haiz. I feel so fat and unhealthy just slacking at home all day. I rarely do any physical work. hmmm maybe should start soon; tomorrow. I bought lots of clothing from Sabah. Hopefully that will gimme a new look and a better wardrobe^^. The food there was good and a wider variety of food were available to Muslims like myself. I spammed quite a lot. To the extent of getting diarrhoea on one day. hah.

I realised that nowadays, for some weird reason, I keep pondering about many random things that come across my mind that have to do with physics and the equations that describe the phenomena. Sometimes its things like how to derive the area of a circle xD I guess I just want to know how things work, in detail. I'm looking forward to going out with my friends and relatives. I'm sick and bored at home. Chionging maple everyday is meaningless and unhealthy mentally and physically.

I have recently done some research on the Polar coordinate system which I have discovered by accident while surfing Wiki. Its just another mathematical graphing system like the Cartesian coordinate system that we studied for the Os. The difference between the two is that a point in a polar coordinate system is defined by the distance from the origin and the angle of inclination from the x-axis of the line that connects the point and the origin while the point in the cartesian system is defined by the distance from the x axis and y axis. You may say, "what the heck is wrong with you? Mugging maths after O levels?", yea I know its weird but i can see the beauty and significance of the graphs that are sketched out from the system. Recently I have derived a very beautiful equation(in my point of view) from the equations of motion I read in Newtonian mechanics in my H2 phy txtbk. The equation looks like this:

This equation from wiki is exactly the same as the one i derived^^ I'm so glad.

This equation describes the trajectory of a particle or a ball when thrown at an initial speed v, inclined to the horizontal at an angle 'theta' and affected by earth's gravity with gravitational field strength 'g' . Just seeing this equation isn't satisfying enough for me. Usually I would use graphmatica to plot out the graph for me and voila!, it shows the trajectory of an object affected by the constants that I have set randomly. Imagine, everyday phenomena summed up by an elegant mathematical equation. Cool xD. There is one polar coordinate graph that astounded me the most. The polar equation looks like this:

Today is 23 Oct 09. 2 more days( not counting today) to the Os. Really worried. Every night I juz can't get to sleep. I keep wondering about the exam situation. About the results day(which is still far away). And whether my results will match with my standards in school and will meet my targets. sigh... all these thoughts just playing around in my head every night.

I'm feeling really sleepy now. Just finished reading papers alongside with the dictionary(well only 1 section). Maybe its the gloomy weather. Trying real hard to get A1 for english but i think its kinda too late. Well, better than being complacent and doing nothing right. Hopefully for once I will do well for compre. I've been practicing it for a few days now so I really hope that it will help me in the O lvl English paper 2. Just as the saying goes: 'God doesn't help anyone who doesn't help himself'. Also hoping that the vocab section won't be too arcane for me. haha. Really hope that the expo essay question is do-able. Hopefully something close to my heart. So much for hoping. Now i better get cracking.

How gravity works according to General Relativity

Hi guys. I'm currently taking a break after mugging all those lengthy SS notes. Recently my obsession towards relativity has grown. I've grown more curious towards how this spacetime curvature according to Einstein creates what we feel as the mysterious force - gravity. Finally I kinda understood thanks to a certain website. Here's how it works.

Imagine a universe with 2-d spacetime (yes i noe there's supposed to be more dimensions to spacetime but for simplicity's sake we make it 2d)

As shown in the diagram , there's 1 dimension of time(vertical axis) and 1 dimension of space(horizontal axis). The red thick line represents a planet moving through time. The blue line represents a small object, eg. an apple, moving through time also. However, this diagram is flawed because it doesn't show the curving of time. It only shows the curving of space. As a result, the path of the apple moving through time is parallel to the path taken by the planet - implying that the apple is not influenced by the planet's gravity.

This is a more accurate diagram of the curving of spacetime. Similar to what is shown above, the thick red line is the path taken by the planet and the blue line is the path taken by the apple. However, notice that the path of the apple is curved towards the path of the planet. The geodesic(straightest path traveled on a curved surface) of the apple is such that the apple moves closer to the planet in spacetime and eventually comes in contact with it. This means that what we feel as gravity is actually the natural movement(in other words geodesic) of our bodies through the curved surface of spacetime due to the presence of a large object i.e the earth. Isn't it amazing that Einstein came up with something as elegant as this to explain gravity? Even Sir Issac Newton, the man who discovered gravity, is unable to explain how gravity actually works. Ponder over it. I wonder how einstein conveyed the idea of spacetime curvature in the language of mathematics. Just too profound for a layman like me.

Hey guys.

Sorry for not posting anything for so long. I'm just too lazy to do that. Yes O levels is coming in a bout 14 days time (incl. today). I think that I have wasted too much of my study break on maple - considering that i reached lv51 in a rather short period of time. Crap. On the previous days I spent most of my time on the comp and then around 1hr - 1.5 hrs on mugging. Really imba. Erm. Okay lets make a checklist to see whether I FEEL prepared or not for each O lvl subject.

Still have a long way to go. Not to mention English oral which is just next week. Luckily I have 1 more week to practice for it. I think my worries for the oral have faded. For now.

Just finished mugging ss. zzz. damn pain. Globalisation and venice are heavy on content.zzz. I think I'll be doing these 2 and 2 more for the Os. if i keep reading the notes on these it will stick in my head easily. Maths is also tomoro. I'm lazy to mug for it. Well, today after POP we met in bus 190 and when we were talking together while walking at the interchange I realized she has a certain distaste towards her own religion.

She was rather disappointed to know that the fasting month was coming soon - she said she had to "clean up her act" and she was highly secretive about it. This certainly got me suspicious. Sounds as if she had been doing something against the religion. And yea, in the bus 302 I managed to unravel her secret. Just like how I unraveled others' secret. Well, even though to her what she had been doing might not be that bad - its still the just the beginning of her demise. School has been normal and boring. With 2 confirmed cases of H1N1 in sch. my cohort's future appears to be bleak. Sigh. If things get worse they'll be forced to close down. I have already contracted flu and I'm really hoping its not this virus. Many other have caught it too mainly because of the air-con in the class. Currently bored. I mugged like hell yesterday so I feel like resting today - my stomach is bloated after stuffing Hor Fun into my mouth earlier. Urgh. The only thing i play now is Mousehunt which is a passive game. Just click every 15 minutes.

Racial harmony day in sji didn't even feel like it used to be. No more satay stall, mama stall, chinese stall at the parade square. No more kavadi and 3 hr recess. lol. this year is really sucky. and as soon as i get done and over with the O lvl papers i'll incinerate and purge all the secondary sch textbook......into the store room. I WAnT DOTA!!!

Yesterday's AP was done and over with. Well, it started off with a slight drizzle but then the rain subsided just in time for us to begin our parade. This is the 157th anniversary parade and it never rained at all for all of the parades - well, i guess God set the timings for the rain so that we can proceed with our parade, knowing that its an important parade for every Josephian in the UGs.

Anyway, next Friday my Sec 4 squad will be officially passing out from SJAB and hopefully, the steeping down will motivate us to focus on the upcoming O levels.

Tomorrow there's English Prelim Oral. My examiner is Ms Eliza Tan, a former English teacher of my class. Gladly, I don't feel nervous at all and I hope I will do well in oral this time. God willing.

This weekend is full of homework - I got 2 pieces of Maths Papers to complete, Chem wkbk and a Lit presentation(damn) to prepare. I wasted Saturday already.

I recently started reading up the newspapers especially the review and forum page with the dictionary by my side to look up for words that I never seen before. And yea, not to mention I borrowed an English novel, for the first time in my life, and I actually enjoyed it. But is it too late? Starting to work on my English just 5 months or so before the Os. Well, I hope not and I hope God is fair to me and will reward all my hard work when that day comes.

Currently I have nothing to play except Xbox(which I rarely can play) and my DS which is getting boring. I'm really craving for DotA...haizzz. I feel so bored.

I'm going to pass out from CCA very soon - with AP just next Saturday. I think time will pass very quickly and soon, the O level papers will be in front of my face on the table in the freezing hall, and it will be over.

Can't wait for Hari Raya to come. But then after it ends, I will have to spend the rest of the days mugging. lol. Still, I'm looking forward to the outing with my malay friends.

Well, today is the last day of all those boring supp lessons in that air-con class room which is so freaking cold. Kinda glad it all ends today. Also, my group did a literature presentation - which is ironic since my lit is hopeless. Well, i guess everything went well its just that my notes got all messed up when i was speaking. Luckily my friends gave me positive feedback. phew. I'm sooo glad its over. I was worried abt it all day.

Next week is SJAB june camp which has been shortened to 3days/2nights. Guess what I'm in charge of movies. Phew. Finally all are done. Now i'm left with little to do - I'm BORED. Ok dota is fun but after 1 or 2 games then you'll find it boring. My Pokemon Platinum also completed so I'm stuck with nothing to do. I'm planning to burn all the stubborn fats on my belly by running evryday during June. Morning and afternoon. PHEW. I spent the last 5 hrs doing Maths Past year papers. A math and e math. damn tiring. especially when u make a careless mistake and u have to redo all over again or hunt for ur mistake painstakingly. U noe I find A maths much easier and fun than Emaths. In e maths I'm more prone to carelessness. But amaths u can always check ur answer. sub it back into the equation. lol.

I also chionged lit yesterday. From 8am until 11 am. then 2.30pm until 4.30pm. I made notes. I kinda happy bout it but its not really perfect - some points missing. I only note down the obvious ones. soo... i still have to rely on Ms Mos' notes.

The mid year exams are around the corner. So is the triple science SPA Skill 3 papers. To stay keep up with the situation I scheduled my remaining mugging days. Around 20-30 more days. Omg. I hope I wont screw up these exams. First up is Higher malay which is freaking next week! GOD. I dont think I'm ready - I haven't been reading the malay news frequently. neither have I memoed all the idioms... sian. Ok. If I get A2 for malay i'm gonna celebrate like noone's business. LOOOL. Fat hope?

Omg. I've returned to being in a state of having the pokemon fever. yes I'm playing Pokemon Platinum now. trying a new team through story mode. Gallade and empoleon as my main. Gallade owns. LOL. so shiok and so cool. I name my pokemon according to some dota hero names. Still thinking of adding a third pokemon - Lucario???? But i need lots of time to train it. maybe a legendary first. dialga!! LOL Pwn all those elite 4 HAHA.

Hmm. I attended a JC talk by Jenny. I'm not sure whether to go RJC or Temasek or National. I scared I can't cope at RJ but there's more opportunities there. I'm planning to take Physics, Maths, Chemistry, Econ,and KI?? I'm really curious about KI. The theory of knowledge? Sounds crazy and i heard its quite philosophical. They're asked to write a 6 page essay on questions like- "Why is the number 2 called number 2?" - I guess you have to explore the origins of numbers how it came about...etc.chim. I don wanna take the risk so i'll just take GP=)

But its okay, I think the most important thing is that we enjoyed ourselves on stage and treasure the entire experience. That moment shall live in our hearts forever. The arts has finally touched me - a fanatic of Physics. I'll always remember the dance steps, the trainings, our instructors, the friends we made...most importantly I left my mark at SJI.

Currently under a lot of pressure by Mr Lim, mostly SJAB. I keep thinking that I always screw up what I'm tasked to do. I just lost the Sec 3 Namelist and Mr Lim is freaking angry. my CSM is pissed off. zzzzzzz. I'm losing a lot of self-confidence because of this. The day before this problem was cropped up Mr Lim scolded me for not taking care of things regarding distributing consent forms. Bloody hell. Why am I trapped in one problem after another???? Screw this crap lah.

Ok. My plan is to do my duties as R&P. MUG for O levels. And do well for SYF performance next week. I'm not gonna put my hands into other random SJAB stuff or else I'll be trapped in this unnecessary problems giving me unnecessary stress. SCREW OFF.

I just got my scholarship today. Things went ok. And I received something else too. Good timing. Flu. Just before the SYF. I went to Mik's house to play xbox where i got pwned like mad in Star Wars LOL. haha i guess i'm not good at those fighting games.

Just to remind you again, I'll be performing for the Singapore Youth Festival on 7 April. This will be the experience of a lifetime because it will probably be the only time I'll be performing for SYF(unless I join the malay cultural society in JC.lol)

I just had training in full dress this morning and I realised that this performance is nothing to be afraid of - ITS FUN!!! We were all smiling(I was laughing) our way through the full dress rehearsal at the school hall. Our instructor told us that we were allowed to make random phrases during our dance(out loud) and guess wat? All of us spammed random stuff LOL Damn fun and retarded. My phrases were like "hey bitches"(LOL), "yea!!","ewa!!" haha. there was even once sufi and i made contact and he screamed at me-_- LOL Anyway, I just can't wait for the bloody performance and hopefully my parents can make it on that day. The best thing is.... we get to ponteng school cos 7 april is school day HAH.

I've never appreciated the arts, I'm a maths/science/logic guy but this new experience has changed my view on the arts. Arts(as the name suggests) is beautiful and entertaining.haha. Our instructor told us that many schools are expecting us , lol i feel famous. he even suggested that we would act a little arrogant at UCC - no thanks. I'll juz act cool LOL> Just in case we screw up. But we wont trust me. I think my teacher will be taping our SYF performance. So stay tuned to my blog!!

SIAN. Today need to go to University Cultural Centre(UCC) for SYF rehearsal. I know its going to be fun but there's school tomorrow and that sux. I'll reach home around 12am...I've to reach school by 7.45pm i make sure i'll come early or i'll get screwed.

Finally my homework is all done XDD YAY. Screw the physics MYE la there's so many topics in there that we haven't studied yet. Besides, looking at all the stuff we havent studied we don't even feel like doing it. Maths is complete years ago so..woot. I Haven't done weights this week yet. Better do it after religious class LOL. I injured my right leg there some muscle strain now I'm scared it will act up during the rehearsal I don't want other schools to laugh at SJI.

Oh yes. I'm planning to visit the Supreme Court to sue Rubin for....LOL jk la. I wanna go there to observe a trial for fun. Mikhail's in it too but the problem is.. we've got no time!! Especially with the tight schedules everyone has. MCS, SJAB meeting, SJAB training, Lit project..ZZZZ. Hopefully there's some extreme cases going on trial soon..murder? theft(not so nice)?rape? LOL.

I'm currently doing weights exercise 4 sets of 50 curls-8kg weights. both arms per week. feels good after u do it lol. i'm also cutting down on food and doing aerobic exercises on sunday morning. up and down the stairs(10 storeys). damn embarassing when ppl see me. some are shockedLOL. I juz say hi but usually i'm too exhausted to do so. juz nid to burn the bloody spare tire. i want ABS! i think the most important thing here is discipline. sometimes i feel lazy to do it. that juz defeats the purpose of planning this regime.

Yay. I've just benn informed by my class tutor that I'm receiving a scholarship from MoE. So, my dad won't be paying for my school fees this year - all covered up xDD. HAH. I think I'll be going up on stage receiving the scholarship thingy , cant w8!!!

Exams are next week and I have finished studying for all subjects except for the final half of the chapter of plants in bio. guangfu teach too slow. joke too much...-.- anyway i have been revising during the weekend and training myself also=) to keep fit.

My arms feel exhausted and it feels harder to lift them up..aiyo. I dono whether i overtrain but I'll only train my arms once a week. I guess I'll play dota if i finish studying alrdy. I juz finished mugging all the tested topics for bio in one shot. its damn sian to mug bio.... too many words.. zz. chem is more fun to study.

Sports day seemed fun and slack but as a member of SJAB - its kinda boring. I had to do public duty today and had to sit near the starting line throughout the whole day. lol. we had a fun time chatting like nobody's business since there were no casualties at all. Most of the time we were talking about dota. strategies. heroes. combos. retarded team combos. lol. super slack. in the end I went for lunch with Mikhail and gang - they were retarded -.- i don't get why they're running from that particular bunch of guys and laughing at the same time. ??? nobody told me anything so i stayed in the dark. hahaha. but the chicken rice was filling and nice.

HAHA. Yesterday's SJAB training rocked. although First aid lesson wasn't so good. I punished them like mad until they're so exhausted and pissed off. hehe. they should run 2.4km every week in sjab. lol. ya they should. then i can improve my health also.

Sian. I'm busy playing comp. at home when everyone is hanging out outside. i just feel more comfortable at home la. lol. anyway tmr got cca - can't wait to dance=)

I recently realized that i havent been going according to my study plan...I'm neglecting it. GOD. I no mood to study. But thats a really dumb reason. Its because i'm distracted ..because of the comp...DotA. Yes. I'm kinda hooked. I'm supposed to study every week end but I spend my weekend playing comp instead. The dota urge comes on friday night and ends on sunday night. crap. am i addicted? but i'm so noob. nothing enjoyable about dota nowadays..at garena we kept losing. i think its my fault.lol.

Ok. I really am gonna start my daily revision this coming week, No more buts. And I'm gonna buy myself a new razer lycosa mirror gaming keyboard and mamba gaming mouse. They really look cool. And I cant wait to get my hands on them....ooooohh. But theyre damn expensive. Hopefully my mum wont scream at me. its on my wishlist anyway and my dad gave me enuf to purchase them. so. no worries? lol. K. I noe my gaming life will get more exciting. BUT - studies must come first. therefore, i will not neglect my studies from this week onwards. Yay. the dance went pretty well even though there's some screwups - a little here and there. Jeanette Kwok was like 'well done.well done. with this spirit its guaranteed u get at least a silver for syf. you are going to make history here in sji.' LOL. I really enjoyed the time on stage. Really fun. Even though ther's some room for improvement. lol. anyway today surely most of my friends except me went back to their primary schools. ooops. Furthermore there will be 4 more days of holiday coming up. The homework is still a lot-.- haiz.

Tmr I have malay dance practice for syf. Hope everyone can make it. My right foot has 2 big bursted blisters. OWWW. It feels like its burning... all because of the dancing. I feel rally relaxed. lol. so shiok.

Quantum Mechanics

Since someone requested for me to 'share' about quantum mechanics(QM) although I don't know what he really meant by 'share',I'll give u guys an intro to QM. It will NOT be 100% correct so pls don rely on it. Go search google for more info k??? This is my view on QM.

Ok. What is quantum mechanics(QM) in the first place?? QM is the study of the behaviour and nature of sub-atomic particles at atomic/quantum level. At sub-atomic level, these retarded tiny particles behave way diferrently from how we see normal objects behave in our daily life. I'll come to its 'weirdness' later. The fathers of QM were Max Planck and Albert Eisntein and many other physicists like Neils Bohr.

QM came to light when physicists were trying to solve the Black Body radiation problem.(BBR) A black body absorbs light energy and amazingly, it 'glows' to radiate some of the energy it has absorbed. Max Planck hypothesized that the energy released by the black body are released in 'packets' and at a certain frequency. This is given by the equation E=hv. Where E is energy, v is frequency and h is planck's constant.

Einstein later discovered the photo-electric effect by which when light is shown onto a charged surface(eg. negatively charged), the surface will eject the negatively charged particle(eg. electron). As if light are made of particles and these particles of light, when shown, hits the electrons and sends then flying. Einstein proclaimed that light was made of particles called 'photons'. And this statement was once said by Issac Newton which said light was made of particles he called 'corpuscles of light'. Lol. Looks like Einstein and Newton were rivals from different eras.

Whats the first thing u learn now? Light is made of particles. BUT. Light is also a wave - electromagnetic wave remember?? How can something be a wave and a particle at the same time?? Crazy right? Think. Imagine a ripple in the pond. moving north. Ok. Imagine a ball moving towards the north. They are WAy different. Waves can spread and but particles dont. Particles are like dots. Or small balls. lol. yea.

NOW. We move to another chapter in QM. Wave particle duality. Meaning that a particle or any object(including u and me), half of the time we behave as particles and half of the time we behave as waves. Thats what they say in QM. Well, its still unexplained why partcles can behave as waves. This is where QM becomes very weird. This is a video to show u what I mean. Btw. electrons are waves not particles=)

Ya. And when they place that observer, the electrons behave as particles again. Crazy right? Its really as if they knew what we were doing. They wanted to stop us from finding out their secret.

Now we move on to the Uncertainty Principle. This states that the position or other conjugate variables of a particle CANNOT be known with 100% accuracy. This means that we are 'uncertain' of the position of any particle. And we will never be sure of where it exactly is in space.
Ok this quote is from wiki:'In quantum mechanics, the particle is described by a wave. The position is where the wave is concentrated and the momentum, a measure of the velocity, is the wavelength. The position is uncertain to the degree that the wave is spread out, and the momentum is uncertain to the degree that the wavelength is ill-defined.' get the idea?

Physicists also discovered that Protons and Neutrons are made up of even smaller particles called quarks. I'll name the six types that i know of Up,down,charm,strange,top,bottom. And what are these quarks made up of??? A theory says they are made of "strings".(go research on string theory if u wanna know more).

Ok to sum it all up, quantum mechanics is a field of study that allows us to know about how the atomic world works. If u wanna know everything about it - go take physics course in university(I wanna go for it)=).

Yawnzzzz. I feel sooo sleepy today. Most probably because of the weather. School just started and the stress comes instantly and naturally to me. Got many things to do and worry about and this year i'm sec 4 so I have to show good example to my juniors. I heard from my teachers this year will end fast. So far 2 or 3 said that and I guess its true. My school term this year ends in october. O levels is in November.

My main focus this year is O levels so I will STUDY all the way. And yes. Last weekend I only touched the comp on Friday night. and I didnt touch it on Saturday and Sunday OK? haha. I planned a daily study schedule and YES I stuck to it. And I believe if i continue doing so. Hopefully with the help of God and my teachers my O levels will be safe. I wanna go to RJC. If not then NJC or Hwa chong JC or ACJC. I think everyone should start studying now. 1stly it helps you refresh ur memory so that u can catch up in class faster. also u can treat it as o level revision. i'm sooo glad the week after o levels is hari raya haji. YAYYY. right after the big exam can celebrate with family. how wonderful. I can't wait for this year's Hari Raya Haji. I think it will be the happiest day of my life. LOL.

Yes. today was the 1st day of school I came early and everything looks relaxed. My new form teacher is a senior maths teacher Mrs Tan Eng Hong. I kinda like her as a teacher and I look forward to her teaching maths. She started off with what is happening to the world today. Economic downturn.

She asked, do you know whats the 5 letter word that describes wat caused the economic screwup??? GREED. It opened my eyes. wide. its like something happens in america and all of us are affected. because of those loans. its like u're dragging ppl into ur problems. wth la. Piss me off - now i can't start 2009 with a peace of mind. Sigh. Its the evil in some humans that caused this. its the evil. its not an accident u noe. Thats why religion is important - cleanses ur heart from the evil. too bad lor. now economic screwup already what to do. wait for Mr Obama fix this. most probably.

I played pub dota with my frens on Garena. We lost both matches-.- sigh. cos i too noob lor lol. nvm. tmr i wake up early start mugging for O levels. xDDDD I wanna do well. I don wanna get badly affected by any economic downturn in the future(or if the recent downturn drags till i'm 25)

Shopping spreee

Today was great!! Its like the 1st time I went for a shopping frenzy the whole day xD I woke up at 8.30am and met my fren,Matthew, at the MRT station at 10am. We were going to the CONVERSE WAREHOUSE SALE. Woot! yea. By the time we reached there it was already very crowded-.-" And the 1st thing I saw was a heap of shoes. $10 each!! Sneakers!! And other random shoes. I took quite awhile to choose them since the crowd was blocking the way. Also, I had to check whether the shoe fits my size. And btw, its not cheapskate, these shoes are sold at Shopping centres for like $40 over dollars or $30 over. Because they wanna clear the stock they sell it cheap. And, the way they present the shoe(in a heap) made it look worthless .LOL. but of course its not.

In the end I bought 3 pairs of $10 shoes. And also 1 school shoe(sneaker leh) for $25.=)

Damn satisfying. lol. but too bad I didnt find any converse sneakers my size, my type, and cheap priceT.T

Afternoon my family went to Jurong Point for another shopping spree LOL. They bought for me my new school bag and a pair of ankle socks. yay!!! and also they bought for my sisters the stuff they need and want. My father asked us to write out a wishlist. Well, there are 3 more items on mine.=)

Problem with the comp

Recently, I've been hit with a problem in my system - DEP(Data Execution Prevention). By right,DEP is more of a program that prevents you from opening another program so that viruses won't enter the computer. AND, the DEP blocked me from opening Internet Explorer. Crazy right? Basically the only way to solve any system problem(eg. viruses) for ME is to check google.com for free anti-virus software or solutions. Because of DEP - I can't solve it!! It blocked me from the Internet! Actually it prevented me from opening Internet Explorer.

By luck, I found out by checking the system info that I have an alternative Internet browser - Safari. My lifesaver! LOL. And the thing is, I don't know how it got downloaded into my comp. I'm also downloading another web browser - Firefox - just in case anything else happens. I'll be safe with 2 alternatives. There's one more web browser I know of - Opera. But i think 2 web browsers will do.=) This explains the problem of why I couldn't blog few days back.

Sigh. I feel so lazy. I just want to slack and play the comp. But still, I feel guilty for not mugging. Haha. At least i went through the A Maths textbook to refresh. This Friday I'm having POP(Passing Out Parade) rehearsal and Saturday is the actual POP. I'm glad NCOC is over - it was troublesome for me. And if I don't pass ALTC I don't know what to say-.-

NintendoDS fever

Sorry for not posting these few days. I've been busy playing my Nintendo ever since my friend bought me an NDS cartridge for my Bday. I really owe him. lol. thnx man!!(i'm keeping this confidential. u do the detective work ok.)

Also, NCOC is over and the exam is tomorrow!! I haven't studied yet wth. I better not fail or else..zzzzzzzzzz. I plan to start mugging NOW. The NCOC camp is coming up next this Saturday. Must assemble at HQ in Drill Order. Should be ok. 3 day camp. The thing is.. I injured my heel. I've been keeping quiet about it since the 3rd day of the course(thats when I became CIC). It hurts. even if i juz leave my leg to hang naturally. I donno whether i should go for the camp cos it physically challenging and i dont wanna aggravate my injury u noe. maybe they will excuse me?? I donno.

Oh yes. I'm so glad I'm done with being a course IC. Truth is. I screwed it up. Especially when giving instructions. I was punished several times. Wai Cheung was disappointed in me=( I wish i could make it up. I hope he comes back to SJI and I'll prove to him that i could do better. But my parade command was ok at least. My drills were ok. except during the flag lowering ceremony.My first time doing it and I screwed it up a little. oops. so dumb of me.=(( whatever its over. I learnt from my mistakes and I wanna improve my instructing skills when I go back to supervising squad Leo.

Today is Hari Raya Haji and as usual I went to my grandmas' houses. as usual. both sides. i like it cos i get to meet my cousins. talk tothem. most of the time were busy. dont get to meet often. U know. The food? It was great as usual=)) Lontong!!xD I'm not sick of it yet. argh. my leg still hurts.zz.

My current favourite game is Ace Attorney Apollo Justice. Its super fun. U are a defence lawyer and also, a detective. 2 in 1. its by capcom. I noticed all capcom games are really like complicated. there's a lot of detective work. eg. in megaman battle network it was super well planned. In Ace Attorney the cases they give are crazy.

At one point of time the assistant defence attorney is defending the defendant. the next moment. Truth unravels. and. the defendant accuses the assistant defence attorney of murder. and yes in the end, it was that assisstant attorney that was caught. cool. i feel as if i'm a lawyer myself when playing. its part lawyer/part CSI. haha. i didnt know the lawyers jobs were so fun. and yes u may think dialogue in court is damn boring but no. in this game their dialogues are filled with HUMOUR!xD thats makes it special. =)

Ok so tmr I'm going to apply for my IC. and then mug for ncoc exam. i hope i'll pass it. i think my brain is deteriorating. i've been playing too many comp games. my homework is not complete yet. and i've not been revising any schoolwork. hopefully next year will be fine. its o levels nxt year.

NCOC..

Today was packed with lectures and some scolding-.- but the lectures are interesting and very informative thats why I like it a lot. But its juz that NCOC is held at beach road which is damn far from my house thats what makes it super troublesome thats why i feel reluctant to attend the course. U noe whats the most updated news in ncoc????? -> i'm nxt week's course ic(CIC). gg. no la.

Lets see my CIC duties.. which are demanding:
Partially command opening parade
Supervise the course
Partially conduct parades in between(only 1)
Stand in front and order the course to do things
Partially command closing parade
Not to mention collect present strength/full strength
Also, if unlucky, get shouted at by the DO or other officers>.< ow. pain.

yes its demanding but i'll try. This may save SJI's face. The SJI junior squad Leo was literally screwed by Wai Chong(sry if wrong spelling) like right after the course. Many officers complained about them, mostly about disciplinary probs. sigh. I kinda feel guilty cos i'm their oic.zz. should've been stricter with them. -.- And Wai Chong said the NCOs will get it from him if they misbehave again. so much for being seniors-.- and there were only like 5 NCOs in the course cos many ppl went overseas aawww. and like 5 ponned-.- how boring. 5 sji ncos for altc.zz

I must polish my boots nxt week and amend it veryvery soon cos the left shoe sole is screwed!!AND I'M CONDUCTING THE BLOODY PARADE(partially). so many what ifs. so many negative thoughts. sianz. but whats life without a challenge?? I accept. the CIC challenge. I think i'll practice at home on my own.lol.

btw for those non-sjab ppl reading my blog. U have no idea how scary it is to be assigned CIC. OK? To be screamed at by officers - especially the lady officers. O ya. Wai Chong is probably gonna like pump NCOs like ard 700++++ if leo screws up again. which is impossible for me to complete. its torture.

He stared as if he was gonna pick a fight. i came for a feast and u're looking for a fight? don like my face izit? i accept ur image as a mat. too bad u dont accept mine.

I'm not saying all mats are losers ok. only this guy.

So yes, my BIGGEST worry now is my CIC post next week. Bradley was like "u so sway" and my junior was like "have fun".

My reaction towards the assignment? Shocked. Scared.Worried.But confident. Hopefully I wont screw up. and hopefully the maam will guide me and help me a bit. god willing. i need god's help. sry if i exaggerate. but its scary ok? haha.

I went to Granma's place today and b4 that we had breakfast at Food Culture(food court). I ate Hor Fun noodles for a change. Its damn nice - lots of kway teow and gravy. The chicken is great. The gravy is also saturated with egg. yummy!!=)

At my granma's we ate black pepper flower crab and sweet and sour crab for lunch+dinner. Super filling and yummy! I was told my uncle bought like 4 packets of crab(sweet&sour+black pepper) costing S$70++ . wth. so ex. so kind of him lol. We left my little sis at granma's. she's gonna stay there for like 4 days.haha. finally some peace in the house for some time lol.

NCOC starting soon. I juz wanna get it over with. I can't come on the 1st day cos of religious class exam not to mention my bday celebrations.oops. but the following day I have to turn up=( aww. its ok I'll make the most out of this course.no more negative thoughts.

I'm still worried with my R&P duties nxt year. Especially sec 1 recruitment drive which I am in charge of. Dion my r&p partner is kinda hopeless.zz. I told him to do the BBQ report he didnt do. Bday Present

I've now recovered from fever but I still have cough cos of the phlegm in my lungs-.- and throat. I asked my mum to buy me a carrom board yesterday for my bday in advance and she agreed.lol. So yes I got it. Its kinda heavy. Heavier than the one in the sjab room lol. But still it looks cool and brand new. But I suck at carrom. Nids practise haha.

This Tuesday, me, my sis and my cousin wanna go window shopping at Bugis and b4 tat I nid to make my IC so we are heading for lavender 1st at the ICA building. I'm looking forward to eating lunch on that dayxD hopefully its a nice restaurant. This Weekend my family is gonna celebrate my bday at a restauant also. I'm sick

Sianz, I'm currently down with fever. Yesterday night I couldnt sleep. I woke up like evry 1 hour. -.- I had this dreams about warcraft - I saw myself playing with other ppl. Its kinda weird. Nvm its hard to explain. Its bcos of those stupid dream I couldnt sleep. It was like 4am in the morning and I check my body temperature; 39.1 degrees. wth. I woke my mum up and she sponged me till the temp dropped. Luckily I acted quickly or else maybe I would end up in the hospital or smthng.

I went to the doc's todae and got my medicine. I ate them and went to sleep. Then, when I woke up, my eyes were SWOLLEN. omg. i look retarded. I had to make another trip to the doc's again- he said I was allergic to Ibuprofen/Brufen. Luckily it wasn't anything serious cos he said the swelling would disappear at night.=)

Now my saliva feels bitter(slightly) like got some alkali lol. I tried to 'neutralize' it with Vitamin C but didn't work-.- Now my saliva tastes yucky and my mum says my breath stinks-.- Still I'm glad last night passed - it was torture. My body temp was 39.1degrees, I was freezing, my nose kept running and I had to spam tissue, I also spammed water to cool myself down, and I had to go to the toilet to pee like evr 1 hour which was troublesome. I feel much better after taking the medicine.

Oh yes at 7am Matt Chan called me and I was kinda shocked - he said there was SJAB meeting and I didn't know-.- Blame myself for not checking my hp often. But nvm, I was sick so I couldn't go lor. yan qiang and matthew myint spammed like 15 messages+ to my hp.-.- dotz. waste $$ only.

The Pool

Today my family and I went to the swimming complex. And I didn't have the mood since I was so addicted to my NintendoDS game: Megaman - I kept losing to the Bigbig boss-.- Usually each year I would feel excited but this year's a bit different - I didn't think that going to the pool was fun ; izit because I've grown mature or smthng, or was I too glued to that handheld game? Ok nvm. Surprisingly my mum cooked Mee Rebus b4 we left for the pool..cos she said she was feeling lazy. Nothing to describe at the pool..everthings dull..quite few ppl...spotted one autistic 18yr old guy making children laugh.

Haizzzz...nxt Sunday I have my Religious class exams(which I'm gonna own in xDDDDDD) and also NCOC begins nxt week...zzzz stupid. U know why? I could just read through 1 sheet of notes they provide for the NCOC exam and just turn up on the exam day. And I can pass the whole course. Sadly I have to attend the 2 times a week(for 2 weeks) NCOC training from like 8.30am to 6.30pm or ELSE they won't coutn that I passed the course-.- waste of my time. zzzzzzzz nvm at least I can play lan someday with my sjab pals.

I think I'm gonna try to work on my abs=) By doing bicycle crunches everyday starting tmr morning. AND I'm gonna cut down on my Carbo. 2 scoops of rice(no more no less) hopefully my belly fat will burn. and disappear for good.

Oh yes last MCS training Mrs Rahimah(the teacher IC) gave all of us(MCS guys) a Mcdonalds breakfast treat. She's super kind. Its like one sausage mcmuffin and iced milo per person. So yummy. I felt sorry for Mikhail cos he gave away his set..lol

I still have a stack of homework. I think I'm gonna chiong that chem. TYS soon. But donno when to start. December??xD haha I feel so super slack. I have been playing computer/handheld games all this while. I juz don have the willpower to do work.

Recently I tried Sladar the Slithereen Guard in DotA. And I must say, he is freaking gay. Its like approach the enemy,Amplify damage, whack whack whack, stun, whack somemore, chase with that gay skill - sprint, even better than Night Stalker, KILL.lol so fun. but i'm trying diff heroes to be more flexible and to see which one I like most.

i have decided that my bday present would be a dinner at a restaurant and Megaman Starforce NintendoDS catridge xD.

2dae I had Malay Cultural Society(MCS) training and I think I have improved my skills as a dancer as compared to last training.=) YAY. Now I now the steps better, the sequence, the techniques, and most of all - I'm starting to enjoy dancing!!OMG. nvr in my life have I appreciated choreography(especially traditional ones!!) and now I do and this is thanks to the exposure from MCS. And I tried dancing at home in front of my sibling(not yet my mum or dad) and they were both laughing like mad-.- And my sister made a particular comment- "you look like ah gua"..-.-

Ok fine. But I'm proud that my dancing has improved greatly.=)

And yes after training I was forced by my Malay frens to LAN. where I had more CoD and CS practise. Which wasn't really effective. And some DotA.. which was very boring cos Sadiq is noob and after getting killed a few times-he leaves-.- Furthermore its 2v2 so its boring. I told them to play only 2 hrs(at 1st i wanted 1 hr) but then I saw my fren gave the uncle 40 bucks and we went into the dark room to play. 3 hrs later(shockingly as I felt so shiok in the games) I realized it was 3.30pm-.- which was too late for my afternoon prayer. I felt guilt but yet the asked me to continue-and I continued. Awkwardly. they didn't seem to care about the prayer at all even though they're muslims...zz wat a shame. I dono wat to say but too bad apocalypse is coming and this are the signs of it occuring soon. dammit

recently i tried Sand King in DotA and it was so cool and fun=) especially the ulti epicenter which creates a mini earthquake around the Sand King damaging and slowing enemies. ez to get double kill. thats why its fun.

Home work??? I only completed Differentiation in like 1 night LOL! but currently I'm too lazy to complete the rest.

Holidays

Finally malay O level is done and over with and the holidays have come. I found the Malay o level paper quite ok. Paper 1 was do-able and paper 2 is dam easy(xD). I hope paper 2 i score like almost full marks. thenn paper 1 score moderate marks.. surely A1!XD hopefully.

Dotz during the hold I got Malay Cultural Society(MCS) training sessions since we are doing a dance item for the SYF. But the training wasn't effective for me. I can't really catch what the coach is teeaching tat fast. and the rate of him teaching is already vry fast -.-zzzz. i try my best lah

sigh malay o level coming up next wednesday. I haven't prepared much..z I only read articles in the Malay newspaper. I think i'll start chionging for it this weekend. i'm too lazy.>.<

Currently practising my tiny in dota. tiny is fun. especially throwing(or tossing) ur allies at the foe.xD avalanche farms damn well and stuns. I heard from my friends some players feel intimidated at tiny's gigantic size. the 3rd skill in my opinion is quite effective for farming.. it doesn't help much in killing heroes cos it occurs by chance. I don't quite know which hero to practise next. I'll stick to tiny.

yes I have been playing dota eversince the exams ended. i've tried out different heroes to suit my liking. the search is still on..

I have been playing with rubin-my new best fren since we started playing together on garena. I guess I have to thank garena for this new friendship=).I still got a lot to learn in dota. thats why rubin's there to teach me stuff. we have been gossiping(omg like girls) about school like about our own classmates , teachers, dota sometimes, school stuff mostly. haha anyway I still can't find another FDH(favourite dota hero) i'll continue searching. Currently my FDH is Luna and tiny(which still needs improvement)..maybe i'll find another one from the scourge.

I still have school for the next 3 weeks! GOD. Supplementary lessons! zz. nvm its for the O levels. I plan to start studying for the Os when January comes. BTW..pss..my birthday is coming soon. 29november. I dono wat present I want my parents to buy.lolz

DotA at LAN

Today I went to play Lan with my classmates and some schoolmates. It was damn fun. I used luna in all the games lolz. Well thats cos I'm best at it. nothing else i guess except for clockwerk. In the end, lucky for me I got beyond godlike with luna during the last match. pawning bradley, matt heng and weiyen(the free frag).

I realised that I only got that becos NO ONE defended the bottom lane. wei yen ran to the safety of the woods fighting neutral creeps(which he got pawned by). I and wq were happily farming and buying stuff. things got messy in the mid lane and i helped when the enemy started pushing. The top lane was alos open. wth. free farm. thats why i got treads, helm of dom , butterfly, reaver. and i had enuf $$ to buy hyperstone. lazy oni. if i did. i would have gotten holy shyt or smthg. i now realize the most impt part of the game is early and mid game. thats when u farm. when u farm well and play defensively in early game - the ending will be ownage.

So I guess my friends know the real me already. i'm not noob anymore ok.(just as some ppl thought) at least i'm a normal player. not to say i'm pro like marcus or smthng. =)))

yea luna rocks! maybe i should go train another hero. but i'll stick to luna for now and practice going steady in early game. cos i get pawned easily during early game cos of luna's low health.

This is about dota. u noe i'm damn noob. waddya expect I just started and no one taught me how to play properly. I noe the basics but I don't noe the whole gameplay. I'm not 100% used to it. I tried playing with my friends which were better than me. They treated me like a fool instead. Scolding, cursing, saying things sarcastically. I'm pissed not with the game but with my ""friends"". I think the game has worsened our friendships. sad reality.

Matthew Chan:

He's good at dota. I played with him when I just started after I bought battlechest. What happened?? He scolded me here and there. kept on "zzz"ing. i was irritated. And I thought he would teach me how to play but then, he IGNORED me. Cos i was a total noob at that time. Ok i ignored the 1st time we played. Subsequently we played other games with other ppl. Again I sucked and he kept cursing me. Scolding. Instead of advising..saying things nicely. I don't really mind his vulgar language cos he uses it almost all the time. However when he scolds me.. thats when i get pissed. Till now. Just now I played a game with him and I used viper..and i was totally new to it. he kept scolding me when i didn't do what he says. In the end , he left the game. And i followed suit. when i play an ai game right after a normal match, he will whisper me-saiful get ur ass out of that ai game or get ur ass back here. he will keep bugging me. i just can't accept this behaviour of his. so rude and hot tempered. nvr care about my feelings.

Marcus:

Shockingly, he offended me also. I thought he was a nice guy and would teach me the dota stuff. He ended up scolding me instead. At first he warned me, "saiful ur asking for trouble-y u play pro game"..later-"wtf u play pro game?". I knew he was pissed with me. angry also. he kept scolding me throughout the game. halfway through he quitted-and what was his last phrase?-"noob potm(me)". z 1stly i played a pro game just to like get the hang of it and learn from others and that was what he TOLD me last time. i guess he couldn't tolerate my noobness. y can't he go easy on me? at least say nicely or smthng. i wouldn't have treated a newbie so badly.

Conclusion: I dono y these ppl just hate noobs like me. everyone started as noobs and slowly get better. me too. but i don get why they have to insult noobs that badly. I just feel like spamming the f word on this post now. freaking pissed. u noe whats my conclusion? I don feel like playing anymore until end of exams- so i'll study. Lets see how i treat them if i do better in the fye.

Omg today was a great day man. I started the day with space invaders during PE. lol damn fun man weiyen was the crappiest laughing stock lah-he's damn noob haha. arul is another but thats becos he doesn't know how the game goes - and he was blur. he's my group's captain ah and we were like..waaah GG man.

Then there's the normal lessons..hah. After school, during sjab the was muster parade and awards were given out to the recipients. I was supposed to slack one corner cos I was fasting but it turned out I was one of the recipients!! Lasallian award sec3..Muhd Sai..blabla..Bin Jumar...wth. and yes I screwed up a bit. I marched and stopped too far from Mr lui. I saluted him and I took a big step before I held out my palms. i took the prize, shook hands, and took a step back. salute. march off..over in seconds. that was damn scary. and i rarely receive any prizes ah. so i felt kinda happy although i screwed up a bit..but other ppl screwed up worse than me so nvm..lol

Training was fun. The entire day was Foot Drills and I gave them foot drills as well as the other ncos. I did foot drills with my own squad. I felt I sense of belonging and commitment..lol.. i did it for fun actually. bored mah. and sometimes when i give long drills i will often slip my tongue..aiyo damn irritating. i guess i nid more practise.

I went home with Mr Lim and I felt shy when talking to him. We talked about the fasting month and all. I felt a bit awkward although i was open to him. I guess i nid to work on my social skills. I should talk more to ppl. lol. ok time to play dota. =)

FYE is next and ramadan starts

Aiyo the 1 week hols passed so freaking fast. I can't practice enuf dota.. and i still suck at it.. but its fun. lol.

Ramadan just started and of course I'll be fasting evryday for a month. fasting is chicken feat lah all my non muslim frens don worry about us(muslims)- just no food, no drinks, no vulgarities for thw whole day till evening only wat. I survived for 14years already lah..actually it isn't torture. U can just get ur minds off food and drinks and concentrate on doing something else like.. playing comp., watch tv, read book...play table-tennis..thats me(i don't watch tv or read books).

I'm telling u this cos Charan was kinda scared about the whole fasting idea. Well, its quite good. One thing is it will slim u down, tighten our bonds with God, control ur sex urge(for adults)..thats wat the book says, let ur stomach rest cos its an important organ..the best thing is that u get to feel how poor people feel. those at Somalia..starving to death. What we muslims are going through is just a small fraction of their suffering. =)

Anyway the biggest challenge of the year is FYE! god. I started edi=) since after the hols. so u see while i fast- i study and play=) easy rite...not to mention slim down. hopefully. i feel bloated now after breaking fast haha. at least i still go for pe during ramadan rite=>

I recently bought Warcraft and I've been playing DotA(defence of the ancients) ever since.

I'm still very noob so I need much more practise and hep from frens. I don't even know the other 3 secret shops and how to block the creeps..deny..etc. But it hink once I know them all it will be quite fun. =)

At first I chose to stick with luna but then its health sux and the build is too ex. So I chose earthshaker the pawner. haha. Use fissure once ...whack whack whack then echo slam. pawn.

its fun but I just need more experience and I must not panic if the enemy attacks me 1v1. that happens often.

I guess I'll be playing dota till the end of nxt week. after that its time to chiong exams. fye here i come. i won't disappoint my teachers and parents. and dota won't trap me in addiction.

the OBS story part 2

day 3 - sea expedition

On that day, we woke up at 0630 in the morning and got prepared for the expedition. By 0730 we stood by at the beach. Carrying around 30 kayaks to the beach line. There were around 60 ppl. One ready we took on the waters. All of us in a diamond formation. But actually, it didn't look like a diamond at all lah. We were closely packed. i had to ride with another guys whom I don't rilli know and he sits in front while i sit at the back. He has to spam strokes while I control the direction of our travel by kayak. Its a hard job for me. We were always at the front or the middle of the diamond and I think I was the one putting most of the effort. We actually are supposed to kayak one round around Ubin. At the northern oceanic stretch of ubin the waves were harsh and it was quite scary. The current and wind were against us. Luckily none capsized. Many gigantic boats and ships passed by us, the tiny little tin cans floating in the sea. The noob kayakers at the back were rilli pitiful in my eyes. They stayed at the back troughout the journey.
By the time we completed 80% of the journey my hands were as tired and numb as stone. Exhausted but determined, I carried on. It took us around 8hrs to reach shore at camp 2. From 8am to 4 pm++. it was fun.

day 4- LAND expedition

The worst of them all was the Land ex. The tent was loaded onto my back and the jerricans and water bottles loaded onto my fingers. Our entire group was loaded with weight, our camping bags. Our journey was.. from the centre of Ubin, to the east, back the the central east and to the eastern most. Sounds easy? IT WASNT. It was hell tiring and I has to adjust my tent 'sling bag' around my shoulder which you obviously THOUGHT that it was light but it wasn't! Half of the water bottled in my group were lined up together using a bamboo pole and me and faruoq carried it. The journey was harsher than the day before. the sun was scorching. the land was muddy. the weight was heavy. the journey was long. and we were suffering. To ease all the pain. Me , farouq and Teck chiand and some others sang some songs which were a bit more for girls.
We sang Fabulous by Ashley tisdale, 7 things by Miley Cyrus, some Britney spears songs, some japanese songs and some korean songs. The best one was Fabulous.=) farouq also entertained us with his 'bitch' talk and his gayness. I heard no one moaning at all. In the beginning. Towards the end ther were some. We started off at 8++ and reached camp near 5pm. OUCH. My shoulders hurt damn bad.

At night we were supposed to meet Vanessa at 930pm for dinner but we arrived at 10pm. She was so angry with us because we were late. We showered at the dorms when we weren't supposed to. I was one of the guilty ones and I felt really bad about it. the way she scolded was like how my mother scolds. She ended off by grabbing her cooking stuff and walking off real fast to her office. We later apologised to her ... actually it was Tim which represented all of us. farouq could still joke after that matter happened. He was like ' I'm never serious......seriously' LOL shuddup la.

Later we cooked and it was nice. We had maggi cooked by vanessa and Farouq had Carbonara-Maggi cooked in Campbell Mushroom soup. lol should try it at home someday.

day 5 - lastly

We started off with morning PT which was more of a UG 'torture.' The instructors became NCOs and we became cadets. And we did pumping. it wasn't that bad. But then we had to keep all the camping stuff in the store in the dorm and we did it quite efficiently at the end. nothing much to describe. its just work. Later we brought our heavy bags and assembled it somewhere...near the jetty. Of course we rode the ferry to punggol jetty in the end lah. and it was raining.

I rode the bus to kovan and had KFC with dion, farouq and teck chiang.

OBS - Outward Bound Singapore

Yea man , OBS was freaking tiring but also damn fun! Lots of new experiances and pains.
Here's what I did for the entire week right after exams(this week) in OBS.

Day 1

I took the MRT with Wie Qiang and Lingges. We met at 5.55am..sian right but it was nice to see each other especially when we're gonna embark on an adventure..lol. The journey was quite long but we reached there on time, maybe around 7.30am. When we were waiting for bus 82 to the Punggol Jetty, a bunch of other SJI guys joined us. Later we reached the Jetty and we waited to be grouped and finally we rode the ferry. Shaky ride but still it was rare for me to use sea transport.

When we reached, we were intorduced to our instructor, Chio Bu aka Vanessa. She was a fun and friendly person and we did some interesting ice breakers to get to know each other. Our group or WATCH had 14ppl. We later did a Trust Fall. Each of us had to stand at the edge of a table face the back and fall down on a stretcher like thing held by the other teammates. easy feat.

We later set up the tent for the night in a forested area which was damn hilly. Soon it rained, wth and at night , we slept in WATERBEDS. zzz... I still slept anyways. I was able to get along well with my groupmates and I know like 5 of them lol. Farouq was the funniest one lol.. becuase of his interesting personality. haha.

Day 2

Vanessa was ill. An unkown but friendly instructor took us for the day. The main activity on that day was climbing up the 'inverse tower' which was quite hard for me to climb. i was afraid of heights u see. When it was my turn, I was stuck near the ground level at the rock wall. When Itry to stretch out for the rock, my thigh joints had cramps and I was like shyt lah..when to reach the top sia. wth. But finally i overcame the rock wall part. I looked down an i got more scared. it was 2 storeys high then. I moved across a horizontal log and I slipped and I whispered the vulgarity. it was slipppery and windy up there. I climbed the slunted log with the giant staples. Then it was 3 and 1/2 storeys high. Then I had to clib up the tyres. It was the most scary. Ok my hands are sweating now..as i'm typing lol cos i'm reminiscing..as I was saying.. I climbed up with my hand shaking. It was maybe 4+ storeys high.Then the last one was the net. It was a struggle for me to let go of one hand to reach for the other rope on top. lol. it was finally over. and then i slacked at the ground level. the new instructor kept on calling Farouq some random name like 'santorinni' wth.. retarded. We then trekked across the forest to another campsite. We practised canoeing or kayaking or watever.. and it was quite easy. We had to do the capsize drill etc. Then at night we cooked dinner. Rice with curry chicken, canned hotdogs and canned peanuts. Nice. That area was full of stray dogs and also, I saw a wild boar or a babi hutan in malay. The campsite wasn't scary at all, yesterdays one also. Thats weird cos I'm a scaredy cat at home .

E maths - okay but too rushy. too little time

Next week is Outward Bound lah... zzzz.. sianz but i thinks its gonna be quite fun. 5 days of comp games gone.. but nvm..

nxt nxt week is SPA!!!!! Crap lah i hate pracs lah i'm just not gd at them.. -.- but if i do okay for them and not screw up then its really satisfying. =) but its counted for o lvl thats the scary thing.
I heard from my JC seniors o level isn't that hard. I saw the phy papers and i got most of the mcq correct even those that i haven't learnt. the a maths and e maths should be okay if u study. same goes for the rest.

well, i guess we shouldn't worry too much for o lvl. juz study and we won't fumble. even joseph wee the maths teacher last time said o level is easy.

shit la i juz finish typing and i here the lizard sound. shyt the igh pitch sound. make me scared. i hope its not big. i'm gonna play grandchase after this i hope it won't scare me... daaammnn

National Day Celebration at SJI

Tomorrow is national day celebration and also the Olympic Games ceremony. the day after is NDP. Next Monday is a public holiday. All seems fun and relaxing but Common tests are held for the rest of next week. My main fear is The National day celebrations tmr.

My 2nd CCA Malay cultural society(MCS) is going to perform. We are gonna play the kompang which is really tiring to both my arms after playing at for some time. And I'm also scared that we will screw up the rhythm on stage... I hope NOT. And there is some possibility of people AWOL for tmr's performance. The worst thing is stage fright. You get all tensed up on stage and things get worse when you get tired of performing on stage. >.<

Waah nxt week exams start. I hope I will do well for all of them cos I've been studying these few weeks. If not then I will just learn from my mistakes.. simple as that.

My philosophy in exams is that

"Take failing in a normal exam as a lesson, take failing in a major exam as a punishment"

So learn from your mistakes NOW and don't only realize them LATER during O-level.
